Child Abuse Reporting

  1. Personnel who suspect child abuse will inform the Principal or Vice Principal of the suspicion.
  2. The Principal/Vice Principal or teacher shall interview the child (unless the student is unavailable or an interview is clearly inappropriate).
  3. Immediately following the interview, and if the suspicion of child abuse, neglect, or sexual molestation appears valid, the Principal/Vice Principal and/or the person first suspecting abuse must immediately notify each of the following by telephone and complete SS 8572 prior to call:
